| I need to toughen up and maybe get more sleep more often. The tiredness and the caffeine addiction highlight the weaknesses that are tails to my strengths. I read a novel by Alestair Reynolds in which humanity has inflicted upon itself a bio-weapon called the Amusica virus, an instrument to destroy morale by rendering the language center of the brain unable to process music. I always read the science fiction because it gets me out of the present and into somebody's imagination where the world is, better or worse, different. But that is one of the most horrible things I've heard of... and I wonder if it's really the case that there's hope for the future. There are amazing ideas out there, and well thought-out plans to save the world at every level. But, does it matter what you think if you don't have power to affect change? They say that everybody has it in them to change the world, if they only want it enough. But this of course isn't true, and even exceptional people can only sometimes change the system, even if they sacrifice themselves for it. | | |

| You scored as Existentialism. |

Your life is guided by the concept of Existentialism: You choose the meaning and purpose of your life.
?Man is condemned to be free; because once thrown into the world, he is responsible for everything he does.? ?It is up to you to give [life] a meaning.? --Jean-Paul Sartre
?It is man's natural sickness to believe that he possesses the Truth.? --Blaise Pascal

| Tedium really is the worst pain. But if you turn the music up loud enough, you can ignore it some of the time. Is the solution just to keep the music as loud as you can all of the time? | | |
| I'm trying so hard to rewire my brain like a computer, but I have to face the fact that it isn't. This is unhealthy. I can practically feel my mind overheating- if it's anything like the computer that my school is trying to build it into, it means that I can look forward to a nice little system crash in the near future.
like i mentioned before, all my colleagues are taking stimulants now. I hope the analogy is bullshit for their sakes, because if they overclock their minds too hard, then the processor is going to melt into a gold ingot and fuse to the motherboard. game over | | |
